Adult Ministry

Hellenic Dancers ~ They perform traditional Greek dances at special events and especially during our Annual Grecian Festival. For more information, please see the Greek Dance Tab under Ministries.

Young Adult League (YAL) ~ Fellowship, Service, Witness, and Worship are the four pillars of this ministry. YAL meets every other Sunday after Divine Liturgy for discussion, as well as once a month outside of church. Contact Fr. Philoptochos ~ The Friends of the Poor is the philanthropic arm of the parish. This group of volunteers supports outreach programs in the Archdiocese, Diocese, and local parish. Its volunteers form an active part of life in the local community and have individually and collectively been strong supporters of the church throughout the years.

Women's Study Group ~ This study group meets on Thursdays from 10:00-11:30 a.m or 7:00 pm. All women in the parish are welcome.

Kafenio ~ This group sponsors gatherings and activities for those in their golden years. Their activities include a weekly gathering called the Cafenio, at 2:00 p.m., on Wednesdays of each week.

AOC-Adult Orthodox Christian ~ This group is geared toward adult fellowship and opportunities to focus on marriage, family and spiritual growth.

Orthodox Faith & Life Study ~ This class is open to adults interested in learning more about Orthodoxy and for Orthodox Christians who would like to deepen their understanding of the teachings of our faith, for anyone seeking to know about this ancient faith, for anyone planning to get married in our church and for anyone wanting to be Chrismated Orthodox. Classes are held on Tuesday evenings with sessions being held in the Fall and Spring. We will study the 4 books of The Orthodox Faith, by Father Thomas Hopko.  Please contact teh Church office for more information, 314-966-2255.

Choir ~ This group of volunteers, women and men, lead the congregation in the musical responses to the Divine Liturgy. It is open to all who are able to sing along and to practice during the regularly scheduled practices.

Parish Council ~ The parish council is the administrative and long-range planning body of the parish. It is comprised of parishioners/stewards, each elected for a term, led by the executive committee and guided by the clergy.

Bookstore ~ The bookstore is open every Sunday during coffee hour making available for sale, books, icons, music and other materials related to our Orthodox faith and practice. We have Orthodox Children's Bibles and a variety of books for children about the Saints and the Orthodox Faith.
